Monocrystalline silicon ball lenses
Monocrystalline silicon ball lenses is made of monocrystalline silicon material, high hardness, insoluble in water, with good optical properties and easy processing; in the 1-7 μm band and far-infrared band 30-300 μm, monocrystalline silicon has excellent light transmission; high temperature resistance, suitable for some high temperature environment in the application, such as laser processing.
Monocrystalline silicon ball lenses are used in various fields such as integrated chips, signal processing, optoelectronic modulation, imaging, biomedical and military applications. Such ball lenses can be used to modulate electromagnetic waves at the wavelength level, requiring shape accuracy at the sub-wavelength level, typically tens of nanometers to a few micrometers.
